Yes it really was back to basics when Barti Ddu Pembrokeshire Spiced rum asked for a new painted sign, Fran for Barti said “we are looking for some thing natural made wood slats and painted” a bit ‘shabby chic’

A lot of people may not be aware that Sigma director: Vic Moulder was once a traditional signwriter, after leaving art college in 1988 He worked for 5 years for a company called ‘Sign ‘n’ Design in Narberth. Of course Vic was very Keen to whip out his Mahl Stick !!

Next was to assemble the pallet, cut to shape and apply muliple layers of primer and undercoat, using oil based paint.

Adding some base colours and basic shading it started to rememble a bottle of Barti

The four foot high finished Sign with text and fixings added.
